Seafoam..
I poured 1/3 of the bottle down the TB with the car idling, turned it off for 5 minutes, turned it back on and no smoke really. There was a little bit of black smoke when I revved it higher into the RPM's, but that's it.
Is this normal?.. Should I even see white smoke when pouring it down the TB, I assume I would, or does this just mean my car is clean?
I have 12,000 miles on my Cobalt.

Edit: I have taken the brake booster line off and ran Seafoam through there also, no smoke, besides a few puffs of black smoke higher in the RPM range.
I've seen dudes Seafoam at 7,000 miles on a Cobalt and that **** smoked like no other.
Clean car much?

It's more of a 50k mile item.

Hence why the bottle says every 3,000-5,000 miles? It's more of a preventative/maintenance, item, in my opinion.
The only vacuum source I'm aware of, is the brake booster hose, which is impossible to get to. Am I even supposed to see smoke if I just pour it in the TB? I saw a hint of black smoke when I revved it up to like 6,000 RPM's, but that was it. Either I did it wrong, highly doubtful, or my car is clean.
I would.
I would.
I'm told by a friend that whenever he uses seafoam it fouls his plugs. If I were using it as regular maintenance on basically oil change intervals that would be freaking expensive replacing fouled plugs all the time! I haven't used it myself so I cant say with certainty but I will be testing it out in the next 6 months or so. His smokes like hell when he uses seafoam but with only that few miles yours probably is just too clean to smoke much. I don't think you need to use it so often unless you just don't mind spending the $ and have everything you need.
i put about a 1/3 of a can in my brake booster line and mine blew smoke like a bitch for about 15 minutes.... mines an 08' TC with about 22,000 miles so i guess it all depends on the car cause i expected to see nothing on that new of a car?!
i used this on my old alero and was driving down the road, my ol man went past me the other way, i get a phone call withing 3 seconds of him freaking out asking why my car was smoking so bad
was pretty funny messing with him

That's why I did it. I know some people with low mileage have gotten a ****-ton of smoke, so I just wanted to make sure.

Nah, it's 100% safe as long as you follow the directions.
Same, but I've heard people say that it "fouled" their plugs; they must have done something wrong, or something, because I've never had this happen with any vehicles I've used Seafoam on.
