I heard that after a while it does some serious wear and tear on your tranny mounts.. is this true or just hear say?

I got my B&M ShiftPlus+ in the mail yesterday, and it doesn't have the cobalt on the back of the box. It says for 1993-1998 GM 4L60E/4L80E transmissions. Did they send me the wrong one?

b&m never did a test on the cobalt with the shiftplus i no that from talking to there head tech.. but from hack trying it and proving it works... i have used it for about 2 some months and only on stage 2, it rocks.. but like i said it does beat your mounts and poly urethane are the next mod you want..

I put it on today, and i didnt feel anything different. No tire chirps lol. I connected the blue wire with the white stripe to the black wire, and the red with the red with black stripe. Are you supposed to strip the black and red wire a little bit before you connect them. It took me forever to find the wire because mine were like futher down where that plug plugs in at my wire went to the left and joined up with a bigger set of wrapped wires. Did i connect to the wrong one?

the contacts might not be touching...i had the same problem with my wire taps so i just exposed a little of the blue and red(orange) wire and hooked it up like that without the wire taps.......it worked perfectly after that.....and those wire taps look really nasty

Ok ill have to do that. those wire taps they give you are crappy anyways so stripe the blue and red wire. ill try not to cut them. When u put it though the firewall did you have to jack the car up to find the wire? i couldnt find ot so i ran it though the door for time being. One last question. what differnces did you feel since you put it in? Did it jerk your car when it shifted gears?

when i ran it through the firewall it came out right below the fuse box....i actually sat on top of the engine to reach down there and get it......not that hard to do.....well stage 1 gives you a good jerk.....my wheels are a little heavier than other guys so they dont really chirp on stage 1.....but im sure if u have lighter wheels than i do.....so u will get a chirp on stage 1.....now in stage 2 it really kicks in but dont run it in stage 2 all the time.....really stresses ur tranny....i run it on stage 1 all the time with no worries....when it shifts it feels like something is pullin you really hard.....trust me you will feel the difference.....i love it
