short throw shifter

i have seen a few brands out there... but what is the best? i have seen cosmo, TWM performance and a few others... pricing all seems to be about the same... except cosmo... they are less expensive... but i dont wanna risk ripping my transmission to shreads with a bad shifter (read that its happened, but never from anyone i know)...

i know i wanna do it cuz i have seen the difference a short throw can have... my last car had a 5 mile long throw and so when i got my cobalt it was worlds different... and then i drove my friends scion and his is so short i didnt know if i was actually changing gears lol.

thanks!

I have the Cavalier ebay short shifter. Works just fine. Installed almost a year and no problems.

I dont know much about them. All I know is I have the Twm with a weighted knob, and bushings, and it is great.

It also keeps the reverse lock out.

I have a TWM in mine, and I love it. Never heard anything bad about any of the short throws, but from what I know its all in which style you like most.

I prefer TWM myself, however I have heard some good things with the cosmo shifter. I just have not had the chance to try the Cosmo out for myself. My opinion is that you should go with TWM remember you get what you pay for!

that is my concern... but i have bought alot of really cheap crap over the years in alot of categories... and i still have some of t in working order... following the logic i currently use there... i could get the cheaper cosmo shifter and be perfectly fine... damn... maybe i an over thinking this and need to just pick one and get it lol
