sorry!!! intake question

I see alot of guys/gals have cai. I thought I heard before that you shouldnt drive it in wet weather. Is there any truth to that? I was thinking about it, but I drive the car everyday, no matter the weather. thanks.

You'll be fine. Just don't submerge the front of the car.

You would need to drive through a pretty massive puddle to have problems. For the quick splashes of water the plastic splash guard should take care of most of them.

I just try to stay out of the far right lane while driving in and after rain. Otherwise, you'll be a-ok.

i drove in heavy rain w/a CAI w/out a inner fender wall(plastic thing), and when i made it to my garage to check on my intake...the filter was dripping water, when i took it off i could swing it and water would just spray to the ground...and my cars ok(kept it under3000rpm)...so it can get wet, just dont go into WOT(wanna avoid sucking anymore than u have to...might just suck the water thru the filter...)

this happened to me too. My filter actually got so wet that it wasn't allowing any more air into the engine and was suffocating my car. The car started coughing and I had to pull over and turn the car off for a few minutes before I could continue home.
