Stage 2 cams
Stage 2 cams

Um, well here is the problem about the 2.2L cobalts, unless your an 05-06, your going to have problems. 07-08 cobalts need to have the cams modified to work. 09 and up I am not even sure they will fit, since they use a different head due to VVT.

stage 3 N/a
look on zzp's website. they get the cams custom and shouldn't need any modifying. if u order from comp directly u will need modification. i got my stage 2 cams from them. haven't put 'em in yet but the time is coming. lol

i think they sound ******* sexy. but i did not know about ordering them thru zzp means no modifications. i must keep this stored back in my brain when it comes time for me to build my motor.
EDIT: i dont see any for the 2.2's

Im still not sure on which cam to order. Theres so many on their site.
i would e-mail them then. they may not have the 2.2's advertised but u might b able to use 2.4 or 2.0. i am not sure so don't quote me on it but get ahold of zzp cuz they'll have all the answers and usually b able to give them to u pretty quickly too

Ok smartass. Since your "turboing it" why are you looking at N/A cams? At that, a stage II N/A set of cams? The intelligent thing to do would be to plan your build and buy a spec'd cam for F/I applications or get a cam spec'd to your specific application depending on horsepower.
...and yes it sounds like crap
To the two of you bashing the sound just get off the thread. Youre not posting any helpful information. I clearly stated in my first post that im new to these cars and turbos. Ive never had a turboed vehicle so back off.
And if you dont like the Cobalt website then leave?
@Melon:
Thanks for the advice. Ill be emailing ZZP first thing monday to find the right cam.

Clearly, you didn't see the part where I was trying to help you and you are getting ridiculously defensive because someone doesn't like the sound of the car. You still need to get a cam spec'd or buy an off the shelf cam for your application. If you want to buy N/A cams then turbo the car, go for it. But you won't be optimizing your investment in the cams if you buy stage II N/A cams and go the F/I route.
I am posting helpful information to save you money.
