me and vince have been working on a tune all day, we finally got the idle fixed, but my injectors fuse keeps blowing, and it misfires and bogs bad at WOT and sometimes even just driving normal.
|
to fix it he told the ECM i have a smaller throttlebody so it opens more until he can find the base running airflow chart in the 2005
|
has anyone who has gotten cams been to a dyno or track to see what they are actually putting down?
sorry about the thread jack. |
apparently 2005 and 2007 are different in the tables
|
god damn 2007 bullshit
|
how bout the 06?
|
same as 05
|
the same as 05's and i got my cam holding tool 3 weeks late better that never scored it off ebay 16.00

so im thinking of investing in this setup...ive heard great things about trifecta tuning and im thinking a cam with their tune and my current bolt on mods could finally get my car to where i want it to be...whats everyone's opinion of this setup with those cams and their tune??
if you bend a valve the rocker might get loose and float around under the valve cover, the lifter mite hit the cam n all kinds of other bad things... know from past experience

thats cool guys, make sure you post up your numbers:twothumbs

DO NOT get cams unless you upgrade your valvetrain. or keep your revs under 6000.
|
the patriot head is my head of choice however i'm not a fan of their valvetrain i will be installing my own using comp cams and ferrea components.

It was originally made to restrict the amount of airflow into the TB so you wouldnt get a CEL The first video clip of you car idling with your cams is sweet. Can't wait to put mine in |

Did you get the adapter plate that C.E.D. designed for the 2.4 intake manifold swap?

FYI, We have a sale going on with the Comp Cams, check out the vendor special section or PM us for a $40.00 discount code!
|
Keep in mind you can't rev much over 7k without removing your balance shafts though

yes i did. just the cams need more air at low low rpms to run. but vince cant find the base running air flow tables to adjust it. he just thought of this idea to try and it worked. i went to jack n the box last night after the fix and one of the guys cam to the window was like " A CAMMED COBALT THAT IS SOME WICKED SHIT"!!!!
Than my mods are very close to yours. Minus the Highflow cat I guess vince will send me your exact tune then. Just got my car back today with the stage 1 cams. |
