Driveshaft shop makes them for the F23 J-bodies so I'm pretty sure they would have some for a Cobalt, but they aren't cheap. If you need to just get it on the road running right get some lifetime warranty ones and wait on it.

Call Frank at the Drive Shaft Shop for axles, drives shafts, half shafts, etc. Check their website first. After breaking a couple of axles on my LS1/Fiero I had him make a custom right side axle. Problem solved. But like the OP said. Be sure you're sitting down when he quotes a price.

This link is not exactly what you want but is representative of what he does. Search around on the site. There's some interesting stuff there.

The LSJ has more splines on the shafts than the 2.2 and the length is different i believe also. unfortunately

what kinda buell do you have buellfooll???? assuming u have a buell. and i dont have alot of money now to fix it. think ill just spend 70 n get a life time warranty one. when time comes to spend some more cash ill just replace it with a new one for free then throw it up on here for sale for 50. i hope its my damn cv shaft... theres def some play in it while the car sits on the ground but i dont knw whats normal and whats not

I don't think they made performance axles for the 2.2's because they are slow, I THINK, but don't quote me on that.

getrag f23 splines and mu3 f35 do not match. neither do the hubs.

driveshaft shop i think? makes those 700 dollar axles for the f23. theyre supposed to take like 800whp. the cavaliers used the f23 guys, look to see if you can get them for the 4x100 hub if they made those on the cavalier, if not idk

Cavalier hubs are completely different from a cobalt not to mention, cavaliers are 5x100.

the f35 axles are equal length (or very close to it) and the f23 ones are not, so the axles are out. not sure about the hubs, but it's not completely improbable to make them work.

I have driveshaftshop axels on my f23, you dont need them. Just pick one up from a junkyard.

No but a slightley modded lsj breaks them with simple launches at the track so I figured it would be even easier for us that are boosted, also I didn't break mine but it is making a really weird grinding noise. You can hear it real well when comming to a stop slowing down.

u sure its ur cv's, n not sumthing else, cuz if its the cvs they shouldnt get worse when braking, and the only sound ive ever heard of um makin b4 they go out is a clicking noise when u turn. N i would look at the ones u got in now. cuz I kno that on my 2.2l balt I got an automatic tranny, but sumhow ended up with manual tranny cv's (dont ask me how that wrks but it was a huge headache when I had to replace um the first time haha) But lookin at ottp's level one cv's n my stock ones they both have the same number of splines n same length if I'm not mistaken haha.
