Thoughts on the ZZP catback

I'm looking to replace my stock exhaust. I have an SS/SC downpipe to install and I was considering ZZP's 2.5" catback system.

Any thoughts? I am planning to supercharge my 2.2 and I'd like my replacement exhaust to accommodate FI.

I got mine 40% off last year during the Black Friday sale. I love it! I decided to get the resonator as well to keep the noise level down. I paid $346.25 shipped with the 40% off and the add on resonator.

What kind of sound are you looking for? Loud? Quite? Deep?

I don't want loud or too quiet. I guess a deep tone is what I'm after.

I can't wait to install it. I got ship notification last night already. I also snagged a rear sway bar at 40% off! I really wanted to buy the SC kit but I'm still undecided as to the route I want to take with the motor. Thinking about properly building an engine and going turbo instead of running either kit at low boost with stock internals.

I'm excited! I want to swap out the front sway bar too. I mentioned my sc downpipe that needs installed as well. I may wait to install the exhaust until I have the replacement front bar/end links as I've read the DP needs removed to do that job.

I got the same thing on black friday for 40% off as well, debating on whether or not i should throw a thunderbolt 11" cat on my catless downpipe as well to further quiet it down.

So, I have an SS/SC down pipe to install along with my new exhaust. I'm planning for FI so I should get a bung welded in for wide band before I install this. I'll just plug the hole until I'm ready. Question is, where would I have this done? Where does the extra bung go? My exhaust mani has an O2 sensor and the the other is after the cat on the down pipe

You will want your wideband either 4-6" before or after the cat, ( i prefer before for accuracy, they are less accurate after the cat ) you can buy 45* or straight o2 bungs off ebay for a couple bucks to weld in place. If you are installing a turbo you want at least 6-8" or more after the turbo as the sensor will suffer from heatsoak if you are too close to the turbo outlet.

Thanks for the info. At this point I'm planning on SC. If I'd decide to go turbo, I'd have to use a different DP anyway. So, does orientation matter? Should it be on the same side as the O2 sensors? In line with them? What's recommended angled or straight?

Can a stainless bung be welded to mild steel or should I look for a mild steel bung?

Weld it in before the cat otherwise its harder to tune with skewed readings. Put it on the top side of the pipe so it doesn't get water condensation on it.
