Threw first CEL today

well my car gave me its first CEL after 10k miles turns out to be the SAI system.....not sure why i havn't messed with it yet

Its just a **** poor design on GM's behalf its under the car and it basically sucks up water seizing the pump...I just had mine replaced after 50k or so

isnt the SAI a hose going from the air box to the manifold?

there is also a small air pump under the car that is there to pump air through the exhaust for cooler exhaust temperatures and better efficiency

you can get an aftermarket intake and get a retune to delete the sai. or order a k&n, they have a hook up for the sai on the piping for the intake
