does anyone know how to remove the top speed govenor on 06 LS models? my car tops out at 105...

y do u need to go faster then ur governor allows? if ur not breaking the speed limit in the 1/4 then u dont need to worry about it. u dont need to go that fast on the streets.

 

maybe he wants to drive on the autobahn

well i dont live germany lol and realize that i dont need to be going that fast on the streets which i dont.. the govenor however does indeed kick in on the track it poses a problem

 

What kind of racing do you do that you hit 105 on the track. If your doing 1/4 mile i doubt your even hitting 100mph

 

thank you. and i care cuz i care about other peoples lives he puts at risk speeding at the rate of speed. you wouldnt care if it was one of ur family members hes speeding up behind cuts over a lane to avoid a car and they switch lanes a car infront of that one and he rear ends and ends there life? or looses control and hits a mini van with little children in it on there way home from school or something and they might now see there dad again cuz this guy wants to see how fast his LS can go. **** that. if u aint breaking it in the quarter u dont need the higher top end.

 

i just explained that i dont go those speeds on any road man you need not worry about me being an irresponsible driver ive already learned my lesson when i was young i RESPONSIBLY race on a designated track.. and my car runs high 13's in the quarter at an average of 104 mph and could go faster if i didnt have to let off the gas before the end of the strip i just want advice on how to get this govenor off i take great pride in my life, others' lives, and my car i most certainly dont take any for granted

 

what other mods do you have beside your catback and cai because there is no way your running high 13s with just those

 

i was telling the "what if" story to you but the other guy asking why it mattered to me. but in ur sig it says LS and only mods are I/e. im gonna pull the BS flag on the high 13's in the quarter. i want to see time slips. or if u have other mods.

lol i just had my car turbocharged with a decent garrett kit put a way nicer magnaflow TBE on her new motor mounts z-rated tires and a centerforce clutch i havent updated my profile in quite some time b/c ive been putting myself through nursing school i really ought to

 

i got **** about raising the top speed limiter too. trifecta is the best way to go. i got mine upped but i dont know where.

well sounds like a nice turbo, trifecta should hook you up with removing the limiter. The people on this website need proof for everything so if you dont post a timeslip or a video be prepared to be flamed.
