torque dampener....does it really help? info?

Hey guys I'm about to buy this torque dampener for 110 bucks but I'm hearing mixed thing about them yes I know it will fit on my car........ that's not what I'm asking....... will it really help stop the wheel hop? That's my big problem at the track... I lowered my car and I hoped that might of helped a little. But I figured for 110 why not.. Or should I take the money and spend it else where. Get back asap as I'm soposeto be buying it today thanks chris

I'm installing mine today, and I hear it works wonders. You will have more vibrations inside the car though.

the ingalls doesn't make as much vibrations as people make it seem. if you were giving someone a ride, they woudln't be like "damn what's wrong with your car". it'st not like that at all. but let me put it this way, my bolt came loose on the ingalls last night, and i was able to tell the difference when driving. and at that time, i didn't know it came loose yet. it will be worth it.

Do the ingalls and fill your mounts with polyurethane adhesvie. Stuff costs like $6 a tube and does the same as spending upwards of $200 for mounts and ****.

The TD helps a little. It doesn't cure wheel hop by any means, but it does help it.

if you dont like the way it feels with it on you could always use it as "track only"

Thats the way to go plus with the engine mount from TTR you can get it any color just about plus make your engine bay a little better but between the mount and the dampner i picked the mount but others have there own opinions if you are looking for performance the motor mount is the way to go vibes this vibes that yeah there are vibes but what you expect a smooth ride for perfomance come on guys if you are deeply into modding your car the motor mount is the way to go all the way

pic of my motor mount

thats the main reason i love my ingalls.
this car is daily driven to work, or taking my wife and son to the city etc.

when i hit the track, my ingalls kills my wheelhop.
and the other 27-28 days a month, its quiet as a mouse in my car.

well worth the $150 in my opinion.

I have had good luck with my ETD... I have it on the firmest setting you can get and I get no wheel hop! But another good cure for wheel hop is "MORE POWA"

But to each his own!

How would you mount it that way! It'll only bolt up "CORRECTLY" one way!

I used the Ingalls for a while, it was good and all. When I switched to the TTR engine mount with the tranny mounts, the shifts feel more solid. The vibes I get are in the shifter, the pedals and the seat. I actually like the vibes, I can "feel" the car a bit better.

I'd fill the mounts with poly... then if you still have a problem with wh, then try the td. Might cost you $20 to fill the mounts and afterwards you might find you don't even need a dampner
