I think the accessories will only suffer if you have a big sound system. MRZ said that the stock setup shouldn't suffer. I guess we'll see though.

If he got the actual underdrive pulley it is smaller:
OEM WEIGHT: 1650 Grams OEM DIAMETER: 6.500"

MRZ WEIGHT : 590 Grams MRZ UDP DIAMETER 5.875"
They do have a lightweight one though...and it has the same diameter as stock.

Let us know if you see a difference!!

oh, that is what i didnt see, that it was actually smaller. well if i get it i am going to get stock size

oh and when you keep the normal opperating voltage in a car it helps better with ignition and sending pulses for fuel system etc...

Yea...that's true...but I wonder how much the alternator is actually affected.

probably not enough to drop you if you dont have a powered system (stereo) but i would like to wait for someone to do it and post voltage before i attempted it

If you ordered the light weight one that maintains the original OEM size, all accessories will work fine, alternator will work just as before and you will notice a slight difference in acceleration. I purchased one about five months ago, not from MRZ. It worked great, however it must not have been the correct diameter or just slightly off, not sure which, I just know the one edge was worn away and it caused a slow oil leak. I took it off and put my original back on (Oil leak stopped) and boy could I tell a difference. Now, it almost seems heavier when accelerating, I plan on purchasing a new one from MRZ soon.

So are the ones for the 2.2 and 2.4, I got ahead of myself before not realizing this was a thread for 2.2, but hey a Cobalts a Cobalt right. Here, directly from MRZ's site:

"Here they are, the new MRZ Performance Lightweight Crank Pulleys for the 2.2 and 2.4 NA Ecotec's! Same diameter as OEM, but 2.5 times lighter than the OEM cast iron GM pulley!"

Weird. I thought the 2.2/2.4 was only underdrive. Hmmm. I guess I need my eyes examined. lol
