The upgrade from 2.2 to 2.0 ss/sc…
As you all know I had my ls for about 1 year. I was VERY pleased with the performance it gave me, and the over all look of the car. I decided to trade it in only because I wanted a car with forced induction because I’ve never had one. Any way let me hit the keys points about the upgrade from 2.2 to 2.0!
*The speed increase is definitely noticeable to say the least. I was very pleased with how fast it actually was, another thing is the more I drive it the faster it seems to get, like its slowly breaking in. Also other sports cars pay the SS mad respect. I had people in corvettes giving me the thumbs up.
• The suspension is probably the thing im most impressed about. As we all know the back end of our cars tip when taking tight turns at high speeds. The cornering on the SS is so good it left me speechless. The suspension is the overall biggest difference between the 2 cars easily.
Interior is a lot nicer, I had leather seats in mine but this car has leather back and front and insert.
Exterior the body kit is nice a lot with the rims, The breaks are different from ours, they are a hell of a lot better.
If you plan on going turbo definitely upgrade your breaks you will need it if you plan to have a car as fast as the SS.
The SS/sc is a great car and I would recommend anyone coming from a 2.2 to upgrade, but if you have a 2.4 I would say its not going to be worth it.
The only difference between the 2.4 and the 2.0 is the kit, and 1” smaller rims. And the super charger of course, but have 170 hp NA, gives you enough room to just do engine work to get to 200.

I know its hard, because boost is addicting, but keep your RPM's under 2500 for as long as you can, and you will notice your mileage start to improve. Honestly, I am averaging 25 MPG, and that isnt bad at all considering what the car will do!
Congrats on making the switch!
i got 33 mpg goin 80 on my way back from mississippi if thats crummy then i like crummy milage. around town i can get 28 mpg and thats driving on base at 35 all the way down to 10 mph so all i can say is remove some lead from your shoe and youll get some good ass milage.
