upgrade kit
upgrade kit
i just started work at a chevy dealership in the parts dept. and one of the guys i work with says he has an upgrade kit he bought from gm for us 2.2's i looked it up and it comes with smaller underdrive pulleys, smaller belt, and bigger injectors. anyone ever heard of this and/or has it or knows anyone that does? and if so, performance differences??
yea i looked it up in the brand new parts book and saw it, it said FOR 2.2L COBALT LS/LT and i checked my dealer world online and it was there too, ill look more into it tomorrow and get back but it sounds neat, gm mustve JUST come with it
probably, if you people want a pulley you don't want an underdrive anyways, get a lightweight pulley. Idk about comp control engines but for example on my mustang, with underdrive pullies at idle you can see that your headlights are dimmer, and your water pump don't turn as fast so your not as cool, but thats on a carb'ed V8, idk what the effects would be on one of our engines because i have never even taken the time to learn about our engines but i don't think it is something GM would warranty

A couple months ago there was a rumor on here floating around from one of the GM Engineerings that GM was making a kit for the 2.2 that included Lightweight pulleys, injectors, and a performance tune, w/ another tune for N20. I'm trying to find it but I had heard about this and it's not just a LSJ Stage Kit.
Whats the Part Number so I can have some sources look it up.

if the crank pulley is smaller, it doesnt provide the belt with as much speed.
if it was bigger it would overdrive everything attached to the system.
and thanks for the complement
