Water Temp Sender Solution

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/water...QQcmdZViewItem

This adapter will require you to cut into your upper rad hose and clamp this inline. Then you screw the sender in and wire it up.

I did something similar with a piece of pipe, but I screwed up and put it in the return from the radiator. I'm going to redo it with one of these and get a replacement lower hose. The nice thing about doing it this way is if you screw(like I did) is you can fix it for a few dollars with a hose from Autozone or somewhere like that.

The ID of the 2.2 and 2.4 hoses is 1.28" according to RockAuto. So that means you'd need the 1.25" adapter(which I linked to).

cool. Why are you trying to add another temp sending unit?

No, I'm trying to fix a mistake, I didn't look closely the first time and put the sender in the lower rad hose(return from radiator) instead of the upper rad hose(from head). The water in the return is less than 100*(most of the time). The reading for the DIC is water temp in the head.

So the DIC shows the water temp in the head and you want to add a second sensor just after the head. I dint realize that the temp would drop drastically as it ran through the rubber hose to the radiator. What are you trying to accomplish?

I want a gauge, so I don't always have to keep my DIC on the coolant temp.

So what do you keep the DIC on? Just curious.

You still dint answer the question, Milage, Trip 1, Trip 2, Avg Milage, Milage to empty. I dint include coolant since you said not that.

Now stop being a dic and answer the question about you DIC, dic.

nice find. I didnt know they made such a thing. However I think I would rather just install a sending unit in one of the head plugs. This way it wont stand out as much ad the rad adapter. Also are you going with an electronic gauge or mechanical?
