i have a $60 tip on mine from pepboys. 3inch tip has really deep sound with a grumble when its idle. Im replacing it with a full catback system and id recommend saving your money and just doing that as well unless your just looking for the sound.

well i already know that catback is the way to go. but seeing that i have a lotta bills to pay and such with the already low amount i make a full exhaust isnt really a good choice =\ and i really just wanted something to make it sound a little better for now. thanks anyway!

$255 will get you a full catback with a Magnaflow or Borla muffler.

Most people really like Magnaflows.

Or you could get a TC cat back, change the flange and have a full 2.5" catback. I might do that.

I had a Dynomax super turbo muffler put on mine, but i had them up the piping at the same time. Was like $185.

Sounds nice. It's not loud by any means, but it gives a nice low grumble without any rasp (muffler has cork style dampening in it). I can't get a video that makes it sound the way it does in person.

The most expensive part of the exhuast is the tip lol $80.

Anyways if you go custom its still the same gains as a cat-back.I went with a 2.5 custom exhaust system, which I paid about 100 dollars for.

$50 ebay muffler. yeah its an LSJ but its gonna sound a lot alike. don't mind the shitty crush bent piping and the random welded in piece, ******* thought that muffler was the same length as the stock one. so he just bent the pipe using the stock muffler as a refernce...fail.

What's the difference between the resonator sizes? The site shows a 14 and 18 inch.

Never mind, I just figured it out.

get an 18'' vibrant resonator off e-bay, that's what I did for that exact same catback on my 2.4 and it sounds great

what's great about this resonator is that even if they say it's 2.5'' ID, well it's actually slightly more. this allows you with a lot of precision and time to just fit your catback pipe inside of the resonator ends (you need to hammer it in since it's so tight). result = not clips are needed and it's much neater

I've been running this for 4 months now without problems
