I would actually argue they are idiots. If they're GM "Master Techs" then they're certified in all 8 ASE tests, not to mention all the GM online training.
This is what I hate seeing as myself am a GM Tech. We get **** for things that are usually not our fault. If we don't fix a problem right the first time yes it can be an annoyance but seeing as its a new model you have to expect that.
Being a GM Tech. isn't as easy as you may think, we don't just swap parts. Theres a lot of in depth troubleshooting and what not that goes on and your car has soooo many components that can effect each other.

i do agree with you on that note but.. these guys have a really bad service department... the car sales man i bought my car though even admitted to that.. he said that they are in a " rebuilding are rep state because of how are service department has handled customers in the past.." they where a smaller dealer i plan on going to a bigger dealer when i do go..
i think im going to go to brigstrum.. " im not sure if thats how u spell it
they have a huge shop with all the new bells and wistles that come with it.. the one over by the hummer dealer off of 45
yeah..

You probly see them as a bad Service Department because the people you interact with are either the Service Writers or Service Manager, all of which half the time dont give a crap and will say anything they can think of, especially if they don't know what the Tech. did.

At least the fuel rail and injectors are easy to access as they are sitting there in front of you when you open the hood. It's not like they have to dig around and remove all sorts of components. When the mechanic is done with your car give it good "once-over" to satisfy yourself it was done right and go on your merry Cobalt way.....
