hey, im turbocharging my 2.2 and wanted to know what the crankshaft was made of because i want to push 300hp+ and curious to know what internals i need.
like what brands are good for cranks and piston kits or seperate parts.

 

I would message Chevygirl2006 she knows her stuff with the 2.2 and 2.4 engines.

 

Going from memory, the 2.2 crank is good till 500hp.

 

Stock crank will be fine for what you are looking to do. Get some forged pistons (I have low compression JEs sitting on the shelf) and some h-beam rods and you can make north of 500 crank HP and be fine.
