With a clutch i was talking to people around here and they told me to stay far far far away from the spec clutch, but they also own civic's, and teg's, i see alot of people on here run the spec clutch.
i have the Clutch Masters Stage 4.4 six puck clutch, i like it, its very racey and i tell ya, it grabs like no tomorrow.
when it comes to flywheel i was always told to stay away from lighter ones, reason being is that they take your torque away. so i still have my stock flywheel.

that will hold your power just perfect, and driveability is close to stock, trust me, i have driven with a broken in stgII+ clutch, took me 5 minutes to adjust to it, after that it was straight sailing, my buddy has it on his 2.2sc, and it holds perfect, and leave u room for some impovement should u decide to up the boost past the garrett kits stock settings

You really don't NEED a flywheel. A lightweight flywheel is a great addition though. I just swapped my clutch. I got the spec stage 2.

This is what i bought

Spec Stage 2 clutch (pressure plate included)
Throwout/Release Bearing
DOT3 brake Fluid (for bleeding the clutch)
Manual Trans Fluid (Part Number 88861800 only available through GM parts dealers)
High Temp Grease (to lube inside of release bearing)

I have a Exedy Stage 2 and I enjoy it a lot. When I first started driving it it was pretty rough but once I hit about 500 miles on it, it feels really nice and smooth. You need to put a bit more leg into it but its very streetable. It will also handle 330ft/tq and cost a lot less then the spec clutches.

Very true about driveablity. My stage 2 is very very close to stock. and it grabs really good.

And turbo tech racing will be your best bet when buying it

if you want to hold the pwr of stg3 and want good driveablity, pay the extra couple bucks and go with stg2+, holds the same pwr as stg3, with the driveability of a stg2

check TTR's site, they have many clutches with their trq rating on there, just pick the clutch that is, i would say 50+lbs-trq more than what ur planning for, like im planning for 250ish hp, im getting a stg2+ so i can have some play room

ok so what I am seeing my best bet is to go with the spec stage 2+ clutch and stick with stock flywheel. Will the stock flywheel hold up with my power? and also will I need a new throw out bearing?

So is stage 3 overkill? The car i'm probably going to buy already has a Exedy stage 3 in it

I personally like the 2+ or 3+ better than the SPEC 3 stage... I wouldn't say "over kill", I would state it under drivability and durability.

So would it be nice for a DD once you get used to it? Or still a total pain in the ass

It is easy IMO to drive the "+" series clutch kits daily.

So basically it will be a little rougher for me to pull out until I get used to it?
