What are your thoughts on CRY02

What do you guys think about this? I've been looking at it, i like the idea because it's not nitrous and more than likely not going to cause too many internal problems, i don't have any mods yet besides my wheels and i'm thinking CAI, catback, ram air hood, and maybe this CRY02 stuff if it's worthwhile, nitrous is out of my league and i sure as hell can't afford a turbo, opinions?

so, how does this stuff work exactly? is a chamber that is filled with CO2 that the air travels through to cool down the incoming air?

I think they give you a specieal air tube for your intake with the chiller stuff in it... i would think i dunno has anyone ever used this before? at all? i saw a post last night about it and someone linked to a dead topic that no longer exists but realisticly what kind of gainst could you expect from something like this? i mean even 20-30 hp would be nice :-p

You have a N/A cobalt right? It will never give you 20-30hp. You may see a 3hp gain, but not much more than that. It would work well with forced induction where heat build up is an issue, but for the cost just go with a CAI instead.

Yea that mod really applies to FI engines. Save your money and get a Turbo. That will be worth it.

I saw a magizine article about that. It only chills the incoming. Basically it's an extreme cold air mod the is most benneficial on really hot days. The magazine tested it on stock RSX Type S. They did a couple dyno pulls before install and after install. Results...........1whp gain.

For a FI car it would work much better since charge air can reach temps significantly higher than ambient.

I was also looking into this....I figured I'll just go with 75-100 shot instead. I already have a bunch of cooling mods and ready for a little increase of power
