Whats better?

ZZP Stainless Ecotec shorty header
https://www.zzperformance.com/cobalt...=543&catid=155

or

Mid length header and downpipe combo
https://www.zzperformance.com/cobalt...=545&catid=155

If I went witht the Mid Length would I still need to purchase a downpipe? Noob question sorry.

But yeah whats better?

I'd go with the mid-length dp combo. It looks like it would flow better.

He's implying that since it looks the same, why not save money and go Pacesetter...the quality of the ZZP is far better and I would spend the extra money for ZZP.

I think the Midlength header w/ DP is the way to go. If you get the shorty, then you still need a DP, but with the other one, it's a combo...and one hell of a deal in my mind.

The difference in the two is going to be where you produce your power (RPM range), I don't remember how it works exactly....I think the shorty makes more power up top where as the mid-length makes power lower in the RPM range.

from what ive read the longer your header the better air flow meaning more hp. i dont know about the low end or top end hp gains between the two. both will give you much more then stock but the longer header would be what ide get for sure. better air flow less turbulance and more hp

go with the combo if you don't already have an exhaust.
and the combo only looks like the paceheader headers but the specs are way better. you can see how much bigger the tubes are. and they tell you the diameter on the website also.
