Where I'm at so far......
So....I have a K&N drop in, 2.4L Intake/TB, 2nd cat delete, reso delete and Magnaflow muffler out back. My most recent track outing , I scored a 15.5@91 in a 2434 d/a..........horrible air. The time before, I didn't have the 2.4L intake/TB and still had the 2nd cat.....ran a 15.5@89mph with a -775 d/a.....great air. So, I picked up a TON of mph with those 3 simple mods. My next step is a header/exhaust and here's where I'm stumped. I don't wanna spend an arm and a leg, but I want good results/fitment. So....I have been looking @ the OTTP longtube, the PPE Engineering longtube and a few others. What have you guys been using with good results? Also, what size exhaust pipe you recommend for a n/a 2.2L? I was thinking of 2.5" for extra flow but not killing too much velocity. I am considering Comp Cams stg2's if I can find someone to put on the reluctor. I will also be doing a balance shaft delete in the kit form as well as good valve springs. My race weight was 2840lbs with me and 3/4 tank last time out too.......thing doesn't weigh very much. Just trying to make this little guy a bit more "fun" without breaking the bank.
Is the AEM as good or better than the Injen cai power wise? What do you guys recommend for a long tube header, without breaking the bank? I also want advice on tubing size......is 2.5'' too big or is 2.25'' better?

from what ive heard 2 1/4 is better for NA and 2.5 and up is better for FI.
but to be honest if you wanna give it a little more pep without breakin the bank i say geta 50 shot of nitrous. as long as you dont run around playin fast and furious with every car out on the road it will last you a while

Yeah, I was thinking the same, but I just don't want to have any choke point from the LT header on back. I know 2.25'' is good for 200bhp and any more needs 2.5''. I know 4cyl cars are a lot more finicky in regards to exhaust size vs larger V6/V8 engines.
