well it all depends on what kind of muffler that is and the design...can't really answer that question for you. but if the muffler you have now is to your liking then just pick up another one.

i had 2 mufflers on a 2.3 mustang. it would have been true duels, but on I4s there is only one header. now that i thing about it, it was kinda raspy. it was a factory cat back piece off a 02 mustang bullit. could have been part of it. on my balt im running a magnaflow part number 14214, i believe. i love the way it sounds. not too loud and its not raspy. of course i still have my resonator in place though.

oh yeah, to answer your question. the oval ones should have a little deeper tone to them. and in cluding the mufflers, id say under 300. but thats with an average muffler and not mandrel bent pipe. and going over 2" would be a waste of money. question of my own. how much power you putting to the wheels?

2 2.5" in 3" out "fart cans" sound incredibly deep and low in tone. You will deffinately NOT think they sound farty, although everyone on here will know better and tell you that they do, even though they've never heard them.....just to prepare you.

think ill go with one more 3" in 4" out can for one because i already have one and 2 a 4" tip fits the rk sport perfect...... i have 2 inch exhaust, they just shim it down form 3 to 2..... or would a smaller output and input make it lower?
