I thought there was more room under the hood of the HHR. So I'd assume if would fit no problem.

With the lower compression I would go turbo. But if you already have full aftermarket exhaust (Header out) keep the SC setup. But yes the TVS should fit.

Plus if you can pick up a TVS for less than $1200 I would say yes. But if you are willing to pay over that price, pick up some quality turbo parts and piece them together. What kind of power are you looking for?

you could do that with an m62 with dropped pulley and bigger injectors...

But only with higher than stock comp, ported head and cams (well the last 2 get you to the higher end of that 270-300 range).

it would be nasty if you put a snail on it. and "if" you want more power its not so much of a hassle achieve....just my opinion. i just think its better to turbo a 4cyl or v6 and sc v8s but this is all just me.

idk, what are you idc's? If they're under 80% then the 60's are good, if they're over 80% you need to get 80's stat.

It should fit. The TVS was designed to bolt right onto the LSJ intake manifold.

The HHR has LESS room up front where it counts, than the Cobalt.

No one asked you but do you have an auto or manual trans?

The Auto trans tilts the motor more forward giving you even less room.

I know you can squeeze the M62 in on the auto trans.

I am doing the M62 install on my HHR Panel with the 2.4 and automatic trans.

I know of 3 or 4 other HHR owners that have installed the M62 not sure of the size difference between the M62 and the TVS

I am Polishing my M62 up before I install it next Spring/Summer. Been collecting all the parts needed this year.

After sanding and doing some buffing, I decided to cut this ugly sucker off that we don't use or need.

I'll be buffing the heck out of it over this Winter when there isn't much else to do.

It's going in this.

You can find some HHR/Supercharger install threads on the HHR Forums. With install pics.
