This is GREAT news for the 2.2's! Well, in '08 anyway. My wife is still mad about no tuning for '06

05-09 Chevy Cobalt 2.0, 2.2, 2.4 (2.2 in 08 Only, 08 2.4 Not Supported)

I love how they generalize all cobalt motors for the years. I'm still half asleep I'm like wait, there's no 2006 2.2L support WTF? Then I saw it also includes the 2.0 and 2.4s

I was just reading about this yesterday. I hope someone in the cincinnati area has (an updated!) copy of hpt! I could use a tune right about now.

05-06 use e16 ecm...
07+use a 32bit ecm

05-09 cobalts can be tuned by trifects

07 can be tuned by trifecta and ls2edit

08 hpt(based on OP info)

what does that mean? trifecta can tune EVERY cobalt of every trim w/any of the engines and ecms

Its my 1997 Firebird 3800 series II all over again.
I always get THE model year that no one offers the same mods to the year after or before.
Lame...

do you guys think you could get more power out of this then Trifecta?

Also i see the 07 g5 2.4 but doesnt say anything about an 08 g5 2.2 but the cobalt 2.2 is supported, would it make a difference?

trifecta knows what they are doing...really depends on the tuner...trifecta would be cheaper

Trifecta is only cheaper if you dont need it multiple times.
