Talking wooot...1yr later :p

so one year after people started doin this mod i caught on :p installed it during my lunch at work, havent had a chance to test it out, all the open roads heading back to work were full of traffic...install was a breeze, the oil dip stick holder thing doesnt line up at the top where it was, rather the small hidden hole oon the bottom, tranfered the intake port seals, cleane dmy ports a tad bit, the manifold already had a TB gasket on it, which i kept on, i ended up not using the tb adapeter, my TB fit the manifold fine, so now i have a TB adapter for sale, if anyone needs one let me know...here's some pics of the mess i found on my head

its helps alot...specially on spray (like me)

me and a buddy (who is on site.) who also has a 2.2 we raced. heres how it went

We raced with no nitrous..just motor
Me mods (intake, cat back exhaust, ported header)
Him mods (intake, ported header and downpipe)
we were dead even..neither pulled at all. We went 3 times..and nothing

Then we raced on juice with his 2.4 mani and cat back
Me (intake, cat back, ported header, and a 75 shot)
Him (intake, SS downpipe/ported header, cat back, 2.4 mani and 75 shot)

He pulled EVERYTIME..i even started ahead of him by a car..and he still pulled a car ahead of me by 80ish

It makes a difference up top alot i noticed..but you lose your low end powerband

gotta build back the mid-range loss for this intake mani to really justify the purchase imo. what good is another usable 1000rpm and 15hp at the peak if you've lost 2000rpm of power band thereby making you slower where u really need the power(mid rpms)? lol

whenever the car gets ready to be tuned ima port n polish the intake ports a bit, just to smooth it out, hell i might just polish it nicely, just to get rid of the casted feel

i did a launch, i stop in the middle of the highway, its a dead highway, nicely lit, 4 lanes, busy as hell during the day, empty past 10pm...no cops on it for a miles, no where for them to park at, so i stopped and i launched, lemme say this, first gear was done in no time literally i launched at 3k, hit redline like nothing, after that i was high flying from there, i noticed no low end b/c i was only in that part of the rpm's for maybe 1-2 seconds...maybe in light driving you can feel it, but i havent felt any loss, but this isnt about feeling it, i might go dyno it again, and i have a dyno from before the mani too, only mod si nce than was this mani, so i will know exactly what it did for MY car and MY mods

Get a lightweight underdrive pulley and it will help that low end lag some.

MRZ pulley FTW, like i said, i dont feel a loss in the mif range, than again i dont rev fast 3k during normal driving anyway, and when i race, i stall at 3k than launch from there, so i end up past 4k in less than a second...and its high flying from there
