you'll be running the same numbers as a stock SS/SC for a "brief" time. haha can't wait to see some kill stories. The look on some cars faces when a 4 door 2.2 hangs or beats them

Thanks man. I will as soon as I get it filled. A buddy of mine has a dyno about 20mins away, so that shouldn't be a problem. I'm waiting on some funds, after xmas, to get my other parts, so till then i'll have to live with what i got.

nice you have your NMU mounted in the same location as mine

btw a 75 shot is awesome, you'll love it but you NEED a bottle warmer. One that monitors bottle pressure and not temp.

Oh and I don't kow if u have a window switch but just so you know, first gear goes by REALLY fast so make sure you're ready to shift.

the one i have is from dynotunenitrous.com...well the one I ordered

I believe NOS has one that is pressure monitored but its like $250

this one has gotten good reviews
http://www.dynotunenitrous.com/store...p?idproduct=17

oh and since u have a zex kit I'd recommend their window switch as well, very easy to install and just interupts the TPS signal coming from your NMU

I don't know, don't know anyone who has the NOS one.

I ordered the Dyno Tune one because it was cheaper and the reviews on the site were good...I should get mine sometime this week so I'll let you know.

Great Looking Install...

Why would it go boom? Too many uninformed people on the 'net about nitrous. Assumsions are a bite in the ****.

Bothwell was able to "squeeze" a dead stock motor to around 275hp before the rods and pistons let go.

That's about 250whp when you calulate the losses in the drivetrain. Seeing that a stock 2.2 isn't much over 130hp stock, it would take a hefy shot of nitrous and a good exhaust system to reach 250hp and potential engine damage.

75hp is well within the barometer that most people agree with on a dead stock car. Its equal to 50% of the output of the engine at the crank.

With a fair amount of traction, it will drop your ET's by almost 2 full seconds and add around 10mph to your trap speed. That means unless you can't drive at all, its a 14 second car, even on the stock exhaust system.

There several bottle heaters on the market, all work about the same. Go with one with a self-adjusting or owner adjustable transducer. You'll make best power over 1,000psi. ZEX has their bottle heater set to 900psi, but speaking form experience, that's still a bit too rich for the recommended jetting on 99% of the EFI cars I have seen. Heating the bottle up more to lean it out a bit is cheaper buying new jets and you can pick up another 7-10hp by getting your A/F correct.

Most of all, have fun, be safe and get a Nitous Pressure gauge when you get your bottle heater!

If you just wanna see what kinda difference it makes without one, fill your bathtub with hot water and set your bottle in it for about 20 mins, give or take.

Mount the bottle back in your trunk and I know it will feel faster than it did with a cold bottle...

Anything under 900psi is considered cold and less than ideal...

Good info. im going to look into that. You seem knowledgeable to nitrous...im the same with engines, only a bit new to the actuall usage of nitrous, i do now the ins and outs of it though. I just want to ask you a quick question. I've heard that engaging below 2500rpm can cause damage...now if i were to floor it from a dig (w/ nitrous armed) i'm sure it won't hit 2500 right away so im guesing im forced to get a window switch to be safe being that it works off of my TP, and when i floor it my TB wil be at WOT, right? Or is there a way around this? This question is open to everyone if you have an idea or opinion on this. Oh, also, i think LSJWANNABE has a 2.0 ss/sc w/mods that why he can't push nitrous.
