ZZP Combo on stock exhaust (Added Videos)

On Thursday im getting the ZZP Header/DP installed and then 2 weeks later im getting a Custom Magnaflow exhaust. When i get the Combo installed itll be on the stock 2.2 exhaust though until i get the new Exhaust.

Do you guys know if there will be any problems connecting the ZZP 2.5" DP with the stock exhaust (what is it 2" not even?).

I know the combo probably wont sound great with the stock exhaust(anyone have videos?), and i dont expect much gain, if any, but the exhaust shop recommended to get the headers/dp installed before the new exhaust so i figure i might as well put it on now and get that out of the way.

i would do that but i have 2 different places doing it...The place im getting the exhaust has a great reputation for custom exhausts but they said they rarely ever touch headers so he told me to go somewhere else to get that done..One of my friends works for an auto body shop that installs headers all the time and he said he could get me a good price on the installation so im going there for that.

so, does anyone know if there will be a problem connecting the 2.5" DP to the stock exhaust?

It will bolt up just fine.

Could start a debate about back pressure, but i wont go there.

got the combo installed a few hours ago on the stock 2.2 exhaust. Doesnt sound bad, Its alot more louder, and you could definatley feel a little more power.

Ill get some videos uploaded first thing tomorrow morning.

Exhaust should be on in about 2 weeks

i guarantee this shop can install the header/DP. they probably meant they dont do custom headers very often...thats actually a good amount of work and welding. Installing is just a couple bolts...anyone can do it. I personally just reccomend you do it...its a pain reaching your arm in there, but def not too hard

read my last post..i got the header/dp installe this afternoon.

trust me the exhaust shop said they didnt want to touch it, I had the header/dp with me and they took a look They said they dont touch headers very often and and they gave me a business card to one of their buddies who had a shop down the road (didnt go there cause i had my friends shop do it).

Havent had any problems with the headers/dp after driving around the town, and stepping on it a few times.

i think the gains you're feeling are in your head. that stock exhaust is soooo restrictive it is canceling out any gains you might have actually had if you did it all at once. just wait until you get a bigger exhaust on there, then you'll really feel the gains.

yeah your probably right but i swear i do feel a little more power.....actually now that i think of it, maybe when i step on it since its alot more louder now it feels like im going faster, idk w/e.

When the car is idling though and you listen closely to the muffler you could hear it kinda "bubbling"(nothin bad, obviously) like theres so much air that just wants to get the hell out of there but cant since the pipe is so small/restrictive...thats why i cant wait to get the exhaust.

videos will be up tomorrow morning

the stock LS headers are horribly restrictive. in adittion to the incredibly small diameter, mine have what look like crushed sections on each primary
