ZZP Turbo....Stage 2...2.2...

my stage 2 kit is installed with my custom fmic.......but then she went boom!

update:7/15/10 this has been a slow going process do to time and money. i posted teaser pics of the replacement engine. with my cousins advice abd professional help we are going to tear into this engine and choose were to go with the build from there. I'm heavily leaning toward darton sleeves and will assess were we are once she is on the table and pulled apart.

update: 5/19/10 car is down due to a catastrophic fuel pump failure. got a 56k motor and i'm dropping in 10:1cr forged pistons and forged rods and a set of zzp valve springs.
I'll also be moving on to set of 60's and e85.

















^^^these last items did not come with the kit. the first is my $20 homedepot catch can and the oil pan is from the LSJ.

I don't know of anyone who has the turbo kit any level on a 2.2. Does the kit not come with instructions? I remember hte old garret kit did, I guess that is why this one is so inexpensive lol.

i just figured with all the boosted 2.2 balts at least one had to have this kit. oh well.

stage 2. I ordered it before christmas and I was gonna put it in at my dad's shop in florida but by the time it got there i had to leave and come back to north dakota for school...no i didn't take any pics i only opened one box and it was the turbo and it's sexy haha..

I have the stage 1 kit im going to install this weekend. What do you need to know? They do awesome with the attention to detail, if you can afford it buy it. Great product.

Yeah I didnt want a annoying dump tube 3 feet from my head rite behind the firewall.

Im running a 3in stainless MES brand exhaust with the magnaflow muffler.

Meh I dont have any backpressure really. so i kinda see this as irrelevent sora speak to a point. But if it becomes a problem its not hard to change it at all.

Not on yet. It was just outa the box, I forgot to tell them when ordering so its not a big deal.

I dont see a problem at all they make there own downpipe. A extra bung isnt a biggy but its the little details too.

No running a air to air FMIC. 1bar isnt really low boost on this turbo compaired to others. should be anywhere from 300-350whp or so. nobody really knows yet so its a wild guess.
