2.2 LAP Intake sound

Figured id post this in case anybody out there was interested in installing an intake on their cars, and wanted to hear what it sounded like. Car is a bone stock 2.2 5 speed. Video doesn't do it the full justice. Its LOUD, especially for just an intake. Definitely turns heads around town. (Probably because I look like an ass :P)

Sounds good. I would recommend installing or rigging together some sort of isolation box/divider to keep that intake from sucking in hot engine bay air. Even though it is NA it will still pull timing as well as just general loss of power from the less dense air. I'd assume you don't want to have less power than stock. Something like below

I can agree, the k&n intake on my cobalt LT is very loud. Makes the slowness way more fun.

Thank you! I've definitely considered putting on a shield, or even extending the intake further into the fender, as I originally planned to do a pretty extensive build on this car. As time went by though, ive decided rather than dump thousands into this car, id rather sell it, and put it towards an SS turbo. For now, im just really enjoying the sound, and the stares, lol.

Oh yeah, for sure! In my previous cobalt I just pulled out the intake silencer from the fender and thought that was pretty loud, boy was I wrong. Ive had people ask me what exhaust I run, and are blown away when I tell them its the intake.

When my Wife gets off work tonight ill edit the post to include the sound from outside the car. Definitely paints a better picture for those who havent heard it before. I love it. Even after having it on the car for close to 6 months. Still puts a smile on my face hearing it.

The average person does not know what that sound is when you drive by.
