custom intake mod
i want to change the pipe from the stock airbox (want maf sensor to stay) to the throttle body. Who has done this? Where can I get the parts? I searched "how to's" and other threads and can't find anyone who has done this.
Why don't you just buy the K&N Cold Air Kit or the Injen Kit. Everything that is required is supplied and the results are amazing both in performance and looks.
I run the K&N 69-4515TS Typhoon on my 2009 2.2 and love it. It sounds mean when I am on the gas hard and sounds awesome throught the 3500 to 6000 rpm range. I don't think just changing the stock plastic flex tube will give you any further benefits over stock. Still sucking the same hot air.

I don't have them anymore. I deleted after I sent it back to K&N. I tried to bend the heat shieldand I got a new one and brackets from K&N tech support. Nothing worked. I have found out that a few other '09's with auto have had the same issue. After looking a little more I think I will order a injen.
Mine also was originally rubbing (squeaking). It was the heat shield rubbing against the frame under the headlamp assembly. I just cut a piece of rubber 1" x 1" and placed it between the two and the squeaking stopped. No problem on the engine side. Sorry to hear it didn't work out for you... all the best with your next choice.
i have an 09 ls XFE and just made my own intake with autozone piping. i kept my stock airbox and put in a k&n filter. it gave me alittle power looks good under the hood and it lets me pray down my engine bay without worry about water on an open filter.
