I just noticedd my engine was sputtering a little bit so i popped the hood and then i heard a ticking along with the sputter. Just wondering what would cause the engine to sputter and tick at the same time? It doesn't do it all the time just every now and then. and it only lasts a few minutes......my car is all stock.

I'm not trying to be an ass but there's tons of threads on this stuff, try searching it. Could be timing chain, could be rockers, give us more info on how and when it started.

 

same, had a timing chain go bad once and it was ticking

 

was your engine ticking AND Sputtering?
when mine ticks and sputters i dont see a check engine light?

 

Mine was just a tick, then it gradually got to be a louder tick, don't recall a sputter though
