I purchased an Injen CAI today. When I get it I'll get it powdercoated and then I'll install.

Vince says all looks well. He sees no more room for improvement, lol. Time to find more mods then.

We're still trying to figure out my issue, which is the AFR staying at 14-14.7 at WOT if I roll into WOT...

And I'm gonna have him disable traction control as well.

So by rolling into WOT you mean easily?

If I get into 50% throttle, let's say, mine will go down to 10.9 or so and as I go full WOT it stays in the 11.4-11.8 range. Yours doesn't get power enrichment at all?

Yes, I mean gradually rolling into WOT.

I get power enrichment if I mash it, but if I roll into it, usually it won't go into PE. Vince is looking into it.

thats rather odd. i go into PE from 0-4psi, depending upon RPM (higher RPMs make PE come on at 3-4psi, whereas low RPMs PE comes on at atmospheric)

That's really weird, anytime my car hits boost my AFR will instantly dip into the 11's...regardless of how I pedal into it.

if i hit absolute pressure(0) or more i go into PE, i could be at 1psi or 5...it'll be in PE and a/f will stay in the 11's

That is just odd. I wonder if the LSJ MAP is not working out on your car very well. Good luck on the fix.

My setup is pretty much the same of you two.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So I was not only talking to Vince last night about my IDC% (76%), but I was also talking to him about the IAT2's temp, or lack of seeing it.

I have ordered the parts and I'm going to wire it up so that I am able to see the IAT2's from the IAT on the MAF input.

I was going to do this along with installing my CAI. I got it today, and needless to say I am not installing this on my car. So, now I have to buy a new one and try and sell this one to make my money back.......

i dont think our MAP reads IAT's like the LSJ one does...could try and get the 2bar from ZZP and see if it can read IAT2's....

I think there is some confusion lol.

I purchased the LSJ 2.5 bar MAP so that I can take the IAT2 wire from the sensor and run it to my MAF, to where it shows my IAT. Then my IAT will show IAT2.

I ordered a brand new Injen intake tonight since the other situation isn't too good. Once I get that, I will install and wire up the LSJ 2.5 bar MAP.

Once I hear from Vince on my IDC% question on my previous 3.0 pulley, I will make a decision on the pulley.

Oh yeah, also, Vince said we could never read IAT'2s from the correct spot (wired at the MAP) because there is no signal in our ECU's.

I'm interested to see your results. How many others watching this with sc'd 2.2's/2.4's have done this re-wire? I thought I remember hearing about codes thrown and maybe even timing being pulled after this rewire since the ecu also now sees iat2's, which are going to be well into the hundreds(depending on your setup obviously) during long pulls and in the heat, which is way higher than your iat1's would ever get. Is there something in the tune you plan on disabling to prevent this, or is it not even a real issue??

Oh and Gene I think that with us being about an hour apart that we will need to see how well a 3.0 pulley 2.4 and your 285chp 2.2 stack up sometime soon!

i gotcha. I was just correcting Jn2. I plan on doing this myself down the road. Can you elaborate on the bolded part though? You're referring to a setup using the wiring you're currently running, right? Not the planned rewire?

this is the rewiring discussed in beck's how-to. anyone who followed his how-to instead of mine probably did this rewire

Vince actually said he could tune my car a little better if he knew the temps going into the engine. So after the CAI and possibly a pulley and the LSJ 2.5 bar MAP he is going to retune. There will be no issues with it working, etc.

It started out that I was asking him if I could use the LSJ 2.5 bar MAP so I could get the temps and then that is how we started the conversation.

I wouldn't mind trying meeting up and giving it a run. Casey's is a 2.4 and he says he has 265 HP so it doesn't seem to matter much.

I'm not 100% sure I know your exact question, but my car is not currently wired for this. I will be adding the LSJ 2.5 bar map. With the extra wire on the MAP, IAT2 wire, I will be running that wire to my IAT1 wire on the MAF.

Really curious to know if you figure out how to monitor iat2's. I've been wondering how high they get with these 2.2/2.4 swaps

It seems plug and play. Whether or not it works out that way is another story!

I've got an '09 2.2L Cobalt LT. Does anyone know a shop that can put a supercharger or turbo kit together for me somewhere in Ontario? I'm not too good mechanically-wise with cars so I don't even wanna bother trying to attempt this.

You're going to have to piece the kit together yourself and then look for someone to install.

I got my Injen CAI today. I will look to see if I can get this done on Saturday.

Yep. What Gene said.

We all pieced our kits together one by one, but having someone install it (unless they're your good friend) could cost a pretty penny...
