I have a 2010. What years ss (the 160mph) cluster is comparable with my year? Or just 08-10

I believe you're right. The rule of thumb is stick with the same exact model year just to be safe.

To my knowledge it should. I sold my 2.4 cluster to one of 09 2.2 guys and it worked great for him. From what I know they didnt make any electronic changes from 09-10. So you should be fine.

the only thing is the dealer will have to do a mileage change but it should calibrate by itself

Mileage is stored in the BCM. dealer wont have to touch the car.

they told me theyd need to do that and a reflash. But my mileage transferred over and the speedometer is correct at all speeds.

its plug and play

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't some SS/SC come with 140mph clusters instead of the traditional 160mph versions?

im not sure but i think only the naturally asperated 2.4 ss cobalts came with the 140mph. im almost positive all sc and tc cobalts came with the 160mph. again im not positive

2.4 models came with the 140mph clusters
2.2 models came with the 120mph clusters unless you got the sport apperance package, then it came with 140mph
2.0 ss/sc models came with 160mph.
2.0 ss/tc models came with 160mph.
the difference between the sc/tc clusters is the redline spot. sc ones are at 6500. tc ones are at 6300

all the above is true...u can even put a Canadian one in an American and vice versa and it'll will still work correctly and read ur actual mileage. I have an American 2.4L 140 MPH white face cluster in my Canadian 2.2L with no probs at all..read the same mileage on my stock one as it did on the new one
