Mufflers - Best bang for your buck?

Right now I just have my muffler cut off, but I'm looking for a cleaner, deeper sound. So far the only one I have liked at all is a Magnaflow, but I think that one is expensive.

Anybody have good results with any mufflers?

Btw I am all stock currently if that makes a difference

My buddy had a ss/tc with the straight pipe and it sounded relatively close to mine (obviously not exactly the same)

I also saw the tsudo an that sounded good, but I think it's full exhaust not just a muffler

^ thats your best bet for a deal on a used one.

Other than that mufflers are a huge waste of time because catbacks are less than $250, youd pay $80 for a muffler and $75 to get it installed. NOT worth it.

I'm more concerned about sound more than anything, that's why I was thinking of just a muffler

I got an option racing n1 catback on ebay for $160 and installed it myself.

Sounds awsome.

You would probably pay more to get a muffler installed than i did for a whole catback. so why not?

ebay exhausts are fine as well. i know some people hate ebay but i see no problem as long as the product isnt THAT crappy.

i had an ebay exhaust on my 06 civic si and nobody would ever know.

all i had to do was coat the exhaust in black high temp enamel so it wouldnt be as prone to rusting, and do a little bending here or there so it fit perfect. had it on the car for over a year with 0 issues and it sounded good! lol.

for high hp cars i dont recommend ebay exhaust tho, only for low power and base model cars.

Thats a great idea, until you NLS and your muffler explodes. it has happen to multiple catless guys.

If you want it quieter get a Magnaflow XL straight through muffler, it looks like a resonator basically but its larger and mid mounted.

If you have an aftermarket Downpipe (even catted) and 2.25/2.5 piping, I would suggest a Thunderbolt muffler. I have these setups and hardly any rasp and quieter too.
