New to the scene and
Hey guys,
I'm new to the balt scene. I have a 09 LS. I'm looking for a good header and a nice SRI or a CAI. I've got the exhaust already picked out but I wanna make sure I upgrade everything smoothly first before I go throwing just an exhaust on.
What's a good easy fitting header? And intake? Price doesn't really matter. I don't wanna be spending an arm and a leg but I don't want some cheap POS part that's gonna kill my engine

I'd get the K&N intake system with a wet guard cover and then either the mid or long headers from zzp. You'll need a tune as well which you can go Trifecta for not too much or HP tuners and either learn to tune yourself or have a remote tune done by a tuner.
I went with Trifecta personally bit want to switch to HP tuners once I'm turbo.

Thanks guys. I live in Florida so I'll see if my buddies that do nothing but American cars can help me out with a tune when I'm done. I appreciate the brands and everything. I'm switching over from civics where I knew what part did what and what gain I got. Lol. I know the main parts are the same but as far as brands go and dimensions go. It's a lil bit different.
But thanks. I can't wait to actually start putting stuff into play.

K&N - K&N Cobalt Typhoon Intake #KN-69-4516TS
Would that fit my LS? Doesn't say. I am just seeing a lot of parts are for the 2.0 SC and not for the 2.2. I don't wanna blow money on the wrong part haha. Sorry for being so noobish

For the price you should go with
ZZPerformance - LE5 High Flow Intake Tube #ZZ-LE5-HFINTK
plus
33-2311 - K&N Replacement Filters, Replacement Air Filter direct from K&N
It's well over half the price and about the same HP gain. Plus you would want to remove the plastic intake silencer that's in the wheel well.
That will make it look semi stock and get good HP gain.
