Canada Remote starter not working anymore...

The other day my fatory remote starter worked just fine. Then yesterday, I went to start it in the morning and it didn't work. What did happen was the horn beeped 3 times like I pressed the panic button. I checked the keyfob and everything looked fine, and I checked the DIC to make sure the auto start was actually on, which it was. So I'm stumped. It worked last winter when it got cold and this year is not nearly as cold as last year, so I don't think it could be the weather. Can someone help me out and maybe give me some ideas?

If you have a CEL the remote start becomes disabled until it is reset... thats the only thing i can think of

Low voltage in the batteries system might be it aswell. Either that or check your Hood prop sensor. It might be unplugged or have a blown fuse. If that's So, your car will think that the hoods always open, causing the remote start not to work.

Hood switch or CEL will cause the remote start to not work. Its funny they dont make a low fuel turn it off too

Mine is aftermarket so I dont know if it is the same but maybe try checking the emergency brake switch. Mine wont start if the emergency brake isnt engaged.
If you have a standard check whatever sensor they use to tell it is in neutral.

I looked for the hood latch fuse, but i couldn't even find it! is it under the dash or under the hood? and is it labeled differently then i'm thinking?

More than likely its the hood switch and not the fuse.

oh I see! How do you check that? Is that the switch that pops the hood or something else?

Its just a switch so your car knows when its open or closed

So my wife took it to the stealership yesterday to get them to fix it. They told her she'd have to pay $95 for diagnostics to see whats wrong, even though there's no check engine light. To top it off, they told her they don't know if it's covered by warranty, even tho we have warranty on EVERYTHING until 100k km!
