So of all days to be pulled over, these non merica police officer pulled me over today for my exhaust.

I have a 2009 cobalt with a megan spec drift catback. I had the silencer out but I can put it back in. This cop is telling me I need my car to sound like a stock cobalt, what a joke.

Does anyone know of a silencer or something I can do to make this thing more quieter?

I like my exhuast, and I dont have the $$$$$$$$$$$$ to change out my exhaust.

 

Have a cat, resonator, and put the silencer back in

 

Tell him it sounds like stock cobalt SS lol

 

I have all that on here. Haha I should of. Im thinking that I could get something to make the silencer hole smaller

 

Were you at higher RPM's when you got pulled over? I mean if you have all that on it sounds like you just got a bad cop

I have this exhaust on an LSJ and run no silencer.

 

technically every car in merica (fugg yeaahh) should have a stock exhaust, completely, no exceptions. been told this many times, by cops. buuut that dont mean they will kill ya for having a slightly louder car. id say silencer and cat and resonator

 

I was going around 40 at the max trying not to push te gas since he was behind me. At the time he pulled me, the silencer was off, since who likes driving with a silencer. This cop was telling me
To get a new muffler and he will find me bc my car. So I asked him is it bc my car is so good lookin. Hopefully I won't see him out anymore.

wouldnt have guessed virginia would care. i know in GA the only time i have heard of someone getting pulled over for their exhaust was when my friend had turn down pipes after his headers on his 08 mustang, and thats because the cop wanted to ask him about the mustang lol. guess we have some ok cops around here.

 

I live in southern Virginia, where everyone has a jacked up truck with flowmasters, and loud mustangs. They said I could send pictures and dont have to go to court, so im just gonna send pictures of my silencer out in my exhaust. Tell them it muffles the sound around 60% when its actually 30%. Gotta start taking the back roads until this dude forgets about my car.
