Ssssssssssssssss

like they title says... so my car makes a ''slight'' hiss sound when i rev/give it gas.. ALMOST like if a turbo was spooling up. not trying to make it sound like its cool but thats the closest thing i could say it sounds like.. anyone els got this going on? and no its not a ''tik'' sound from DFI.

thanks!

Test for a leak in the downpipe. Are you throwing any codes?

It's a normal sound, a lot of people have asked about it and we all came to the conclusion that it is the sound of air passing through the TB

Just saw your other post, maybe it's different since its coming from under the car. But same sound, like a turbo spooling

Cause my exhaust leak sounds like a turbo spooling a little bit, that's why I threw that suggestion out

Had a friend with a 2.2 ecotec grand am that was making a hissing noise. Turned out to be the ac compressor. The pulley had seized, and was causing the noise.
