Man just do some research, your stock mani will not support a turbo. Check out zzperformance.com

BlackCobalt707 08-21-2010 08:48 AM

locate yourself a equal length manifold lol.

guys, he's talking about putting the turbo on his dp... like sts turbos.. I would get a bracket for the turbo welded on so one day it wont just break off or leak. could work..

BlackCobalt707 08-21-2010 10:07 AM

he said "stock downpipe and header" if you put it on the header might as well get a manifold

Kyle4236 08-21-2010 10:12 AM

if it blows or seizes you're gonna have to spend even more money

 just got the question.. just get a turbo manifold, don't rice that out dude.

ecotecon18s 08-21-2010 05:59 PM

get the manifold, turbo, and get the adapter that Garrett makes to bolt the turbo to the stock dp.

RoadconeTuning 08-21-2010 06:07 PM

do it... it'll work GREAT!

BLAZIN07SS 08-21-2010 06:09 PM

:wtf: do it right or don't do it at all. i recommend zzp

heres a good idea. save your money and get an ss :) makes alot more sense than trying to make an ls fast...

Nighthawk243 08-22-2010 02:04 AM

Uh... I wouldn't do that. If your turbo shits out, you're out a manifold too.

The best option for you if you must go that rout is to have a shop weld a t3 or whatever flange the turbo requires and bolt the turbo to it. The only problem with this is having clearance to mount the turbo.
