Whats goin on guys.. I said i wasn't going to **** w/ my car and every single last one of you is at fault for my decision to turbo my brand new 08 cobalt sport..
But, before we get into this.. My car is imperial blue metalic. I just bought a high rise for it, And i'm ordering the ss/sc front lip.. Now my question as far as visuals (Just want to know what you guys/girls think) I'm going to paint the end caps Silver on the high rise. The front lip will also be silver, Silver eyelids, and **maybe** silver fender stripe. Can you imagine it? I think it'll look sexy.. but tell me what you think

Ok.. time for turbo (Plz no smart ass remarks i dc if we have fun w/ it but i need serious answers!)

I've currently got 2500 miles on my car (bought it may 1st for a little under 14,000 w/rebates)
I want to get my research in order so i know what i'm getting into.. I WILL BE ATTEMPTING THIS WITH A FRIEND If all goes right, otherwise it goes off to get done but i'm really going to try. Should i get the Hahn kit? I'm only lookin for about 240-260whp or so. But currently with full boltons and intake i'm only at 161 I don't want to spend TOO much.. 4-5 grand(OR LESS IS GOOD LMAO) (if you think it can be done for that much if not i'll up the budget) Any information you have and ideas will be greatly appreciated and considered. Thanks a lot in advance guys

The hahn turbo kit is under $4k right now so i say go for it. as far as the visual stuff it sounds like a bit much.

 

do it, i love the way that imperial blue looks, thats my next cobalt color, and as far as the silver lip kit you better do that that would be hot, eye lids ehh maybe not just get some halo headlights and youl be set

i think the silver and imperial is an awesome color combo. the painted lip kit makes me think of the newer monte's.

 

i dunno how the silver wud look..but go with the hahn turbo kit..most stable imo

lol mybad. i thought it said you cant wait to get the tc. reading>me. in that case, go hahn with custom tune. least amount of worries.

 

If you get the hahn turbo...you will spend upwards of 1k in tuning anyways...the hahn "tune" is ****

 

yah i've got about seven grand itching to be spent on my car..

him and i did the install on his car...you will need better tires, a better clutch, exhaust, and the turbo setup. and a REALLY good tune, if you want to talk with him and then talk with vince at trifecta tuning, they can prob give a really good idea of cost and what you need to do and if you do a similar setup you may be able to work with vince off of red2.4ss's tune and save some time and money

 

yeah just get the hahn turbo kit and call it a day.

 

The hahn kit on a 2.4 is far more superior than a modded ss/tc anyday. and can outdo modded stg 2 ss/sc. (not all..but most mildly modded).


Back when i was a "stock" hahn turbo, i raced a SS/SC Stg 2 with fujita intake, full vibrant exhaust(headers/dp/exhaust), smaller pulley, and a Torque Dampner....and I beat him.



My buddy Zack(hes on this site), has a Stg 2 and nothing else, and he kept up with me in 2nd gear...but after that I was gone.

 

do a whole silver lip kit. i dont think the eyelids would look good. but maybe the crossbar on the spoiler. im not sure tho.
