1/4 time today

ill try and post it later but for know here are my numbers. 60ft2.3 1/8 9.6 at 72mph and 1/4 time of 15.0820 I was expecting a little better time but it felt really short i was in the middle of third when i was passing by. the weird thing was that my car was reading 80 to 82 mph but the sheet was saying 90 mph.

you in the mountains?

82 seems really low evne for a 15. Maybe the reader or something was messed up. Did you only make one pass? Very nice 60 foot though, Hell IM running really low 14's with 2.4 60 foots

oh and the cut off point is usually after the sign, not at the sign.... Maybe that was the difference? or your speedo lags LOL.

the 1/4 mile averages your speed for the last 66 ft--to the line. But that still doesn't explain why the speedo was so far out.

I am getting Westers to do my tune but it will be a month If it can knock off 0.3-0.4 I'll be happy.

yea, for a stock SS/SC, the gearing sux for a quarter mile run. I went last week with my car and my only mod is an Injen CAI. Everytime I pass the 1/4 mile mark I just tap the rev limiter in 3rd gear. My best time was a 14.62 with a 2.33 60' at 98.3mph. My goal was 14.5.....so close!!!

Thats nice but this thread is for a NA S/C. We are not that close to redline in third. (higher redline as well as different gears)

Just ran a 9.6 @ 74mph tonight w/2.28 60 ft. The ecu tunes really wake these cars up guys. I know with a lighter wheel/tire package, poly control arm bushings, and maybe one more motor mod will put both jerry and me right with the ss/sc's. The 2.4 has a lot of potental just need to tweak with it to find it.

ok guys last night i went to friday night races there was no times but all i can say is damn the more i race the car the faster it gets. i smoked an early 90 rx7 2004 acura tl 2001 supercharged grand prix. and the one that made me happy was a 2002 2.4 cavalier supercharged i beat him by one and a half cars and he said he runs 14.6 I used racing fuel last night it took a couple of races but when it kicked in you really felt a huge diff. if i was getting slips i would of hit a 14.6 to 14.7 i passed the quarter mile 5mph faster than usual im loving it. im ordering a underdrive pulley tonight to get it to rev up faster. and ya i almost forgot i beat a scion tc by about 6 cars i was laughing

It should free up a few hp. I'm hoping a short shifter will shave off some time. I'll let ya know when i get mine next week how much it helps.
