13.xx:1 is in the area of best for NA, the stock tune is closer for 14.76:1 (whatever the gas A/F ratio is)

all i know is that they run too rich. when i dynoed my 08 2.4, it was in the 13's or 14's. there is definitely room to improve. i have full exhaust and a CAI and only got 150 hp to the wheels. something seems off. the guys at the shop said the AF if too rich. lpay with the numbers and get better power

if your shop told you 13-14 :1 wot for an NA car is too rich.. go someplace else they have NO business touching cars lol

unless i'm reading what you said wrong but yNA cars should be at like 13.5

ya, i know that the AF is too rich. thats where tuning it helps. i also figured that my bolt ons added tq, not hp. it would make sense. i know my ''butt dyno" felt an improvement when i did full exhaust.

in any case, the car does run too rich and the VVT lags as everyone knows. tuning supposedly gets rid of the lag and add about 20 hp

I'm tuned across the board at 13.1:1 and my car even tuned doesn't do much of anything until 4k. First gear is alright but any of the others are a joke below 4.

some more mods will slightly help the lag / throttle response but theres not much to do with it really you can pick a bit up there but it's not going from BOO to ZOMG SO FASTT

and the 13:1 is the air fuel ratio wideband readings

Oh. But I read that people with a jet chip it gets rid of the lag before 4k? And when I go for a tune I should tell them to tune it to 13:1?

450 for trifecta? where do you live?

trifecta is 285 after shipping theres a 200 $ hold that you get back when you return the tuner..

honestly a dyno tune is going to be close to 450

All it does is make the transition more flowing/smooth instead of it being an all of the sudden thing I believe.
