2.4 Auto Dyno
My car dyno'd 146whp with just an intake and 2.25 cat-back last summer. Clearly that's nothing worth talking about. But recently at our dyno day this is what I made:
Picture thanks to Joe Schulte.
Do any of you think I should pull a few more HP? Comments? Questions? ZZP Turbo Kit coming soon.

I know the 08s do a bit better. So I was hoping when I dyno between the 08 difference and the jet module Id be high 160's. But we will see once someone around here runs a dyno special.

But sharp looking car man!

OP...curious...how did you get your auto tranny to stay in one gear to make the dyno run? Did you use a computer or disconnect the wires to the tranny? When I tried dynoing an auto tranny I was not able to keep the tranny from downshifting or upshifting.

not sure but i remember reading before somewhere they disconnect something so it keeps it in 3rd gear.

There is a sweet spot you can keep the car at where it will not downshift. I also did not to the dyno pulls. Most shops don't let their customers do the pulls

But if you keep it in the "sweet spot" you can't accellerate the engine to get a good reading. All I know was that when I tried to dyno my auto equipped Cobalt LS the dyno operator would have me get the car into third and 2000 RPM then no matter how slowly I pushed the throttle to start accelerating the tranny would either downshift into second or first and kick the heck out of his dyno...then as I accelerated through the gears we could never get a clean pull like in your dyno chart because the transmission would upshift. The gear selector doesn't keep it in any gear but first when in "L". It would stay in third (In "I")but the dyno would hit 105 MPH before we could get it RPM'd out and the fuel cut off would bang the heck out of his dyno again. It was REAL fun...LoL...NOT!

I dyno'd 150whp, 141wtq. stock with a K&N Drop In.
Then I got a K&N Intake and Dyno'd 147whp, 140wtq.
My Air/Fuel Ratio was down to 10:1 with the intake. It was cold too.
K&N Refunded me, and I'm back to stock with Drop in.
I have an SLP Loudmouth coming, might get some pulls then.
Every Dyno is different.
The numbers game tends to disappoint. If it feels faster, it is faster.
I do feel that the intake gave me something, but I wasn't sure if I was keeping the car, so I opted for the refund.

Did you dyno the car on the same date with both the K&N drop in and Intake? You do know that the HP change with a 10 degree temp change or 10% more humidity would change your dyno numbers considerably? If you had taken the K&N assembly off and put your original intake with drop in back on and then tested it again right then you could have had even lower HP readings.
Like I said, at that point, I wasn't sure I was keeping the car. So I opted out.
For now...
