2.4 Auto goes 15.3@92!!!
Ill let Dan PPazz101 post the details but thats what it went last night and there is still more on the table.
Mods:
Injen CAI
2.5" axle back with ebay twin loop
Cat delete
Dan Tune
Full Interior + LED Kit lol
Not sure of grade of gas but assuming premium

hahahaha, that's awsome. Go go 2.4 Auto! I'm glad to see some good proof of what times the 2.4 can really run N/A. I can see a high 14 with better traction and the mod's just seem to be a beginning base. Good job guys

To be honest I have the most fun tuning this car...I dont know why. But those were with 2.3xx 60' times and it was doing it consistently. We think we have it figured out to get 3000rpm launches and 2.2x or 2.1x 60' times. I can see 14s as it sits now with some more tweaking.

Haha... almost 92mph. Here are my 4 runs:
1) 15.402 @ 91.22
2) 15.387 @ 89.70
3) 15.397 @ 91.29
4) 15.401 @ 89.24
The last run could have been a lot better. I'm not totally convinced it's accurate. I do not think I was 2 seconds behind the other car, which is what the time slip says. The timers didn't record anything except my 1/4 time and trap. So I think it might be messed up. The car took off perfectly and shifted great. I thought it was going to be my best time.
At any rate... dan.Spec has my car chirping 2nd gear. Pretty sweet shifts for an auto.
We're going for sport compact night tomorrow night at the track. We'll see what I can pull of then.

All of you people posting times from 2.4's, pm me some slips. The 2.4 sections of the 1/4 mile list are bare. It'll be alot easier for you guys to track what the 2.4's are running with certain mods...

Great Job to the D-spec SS!
I wanted you to run against the SS-Scort... that's a race!
I still need to scan my slips as well and get them to him....
I'm shooting for better times tomorrow night. I'm almost embarrassed that the "moron" in the SS ( I'm going to drive it into a tree guy ) had 14.7's and stock... and he had no clue what he was doig out there. M

I would probably have had 14s on my 15.1 run and solved this no 14s issue once an dfor all but i bounced the rev limiter in 2nd to 3rd upshift as I was looking in my mirror wondering what was taking Witt so long to pass me..!!
Oh well as it cools later in the year I am betting this 2.4 is in the 14s. I have some ideas on the HP tuner settings I want to try to get the 2.4 5 speed into the 14s with just an intake and tune.

Did you hear a few of the guys standing around when we came back to the start...they were saying..damn that "normal" Cobalt almost got that SS/SC...
I am debadged so they thought it was the 2.2..!!!
