2.4 forged internal options

It seems we have everything else covered mod wise for 2.4s but what can we do as far as forged internals?

for all the boosted people that would like to make bigger numbers where are the places we can get pistons and rods? the only one i know of right now is imporperformanceparts.net and it comes with some other stuff.. my only concern is i dont want to drop compression that much. id like to keep stock cr or the lowest 9.5 or so. i need to call and ask if they allow you to have other compression options.

since we have forged rods according to the gm spec sheet i was considering just getting pistons, head studs and getting my rods cryo treated to strengthen em up. i also plan to have a p&p head, 3 angle valve job, supertech valve springs and arp head studs.. i think thats all for now. then ill throw in a larger turbo.. wut are the other small things that should be added when rebuilding the motor and if anyone knows where to get more forged parts for the le5 post it up!

I got a quote a long time ago for custom pistons and they were $600-700 just for pistons.

fock.. thats alot.. but like i said.i may just get pistons and cryo treat some oem rods since theyre forged.. im not planning on doing much with the block. so it may cut the price down slightly.

someone else has to care about internals.. its amazing how many intake, header, and exhaust threads get more hits than this.

Sorry to break it to you but Wiseco doesn't offer pistons for the 2.4L or atleast their catalog doesn't show them. Here is the PDF if you don't believe me.

IIRC crower makes rods for the LE5...someone definitely does. And then you can always call weisco and they'll make custom pistons for any application. Problem solved

weisco will make custom pistons for any ecotec application in any bore, in any CR. Just gotta call em. Im pretty sure Crower made rods for the LE5 as well...i know someone definitely does (but theyre mad expensive compared to L61 rods)

EDIT: stupid server

are there any other small things that should be done when trying to build up a motor?

thats wtf i like to hear.. lol how come the le5 gets screwed on price? any compression?

and wut would u suggest? i was considering dropping to 10.0 or keeping stock comp. i like not needing alotta psi

edit.. CRAP thats a good price.. i know who's supplying my pistons.
my next question is what other parts should be coupled with the pistons and rods?
