any one have a dyno with cold air, throttle spacer or bigger tb, ceramic headers, cat back exhaust?

As far as I know there is only one dyno for the 2.4L currently out there.... and it's just stock.

where can you get a throttle body spacer, and bigger TB from?

Not sure where or if you can get them....summit would be my guess for the spacer. Just wanting to see how a non forced air modified 2.4 rates next to a 2.2.

ill let you know what i run in march when i go to the dyno, i will also have a 2.2 dyno from that day and a gt v6 tib dyno from that day to share

unless you want a place to mount a N2O injector or a H2O injector a tb spacer is useless for your car. The design of your intake maifold makes the spacer useless. If you had an intake like a carbed small block or a throttle body injected Small block then it will work. you intake does not have simmilar flow characteristics (direction of air flow). Waste of loot

It's only 90 dollars and the N20 is what I bought it for at first....If I ever want to take the N20 out, I can, and not have to plug a hole in the CAI. I do have to say though, I don't know specific numbers, but I can tell a distinct difference between with and without the spacer. The Intake is louder, the throttle response is quicker, and there is noticeably more power. Don't know exactly how much more, but it DID do something. It's the raising of it more than the circulation of the air that helps.

I don't even know if a throttle body spacer will work on a Cobalt.... with the new intake on there it's darn close to hitting the hood already. Might have clearance issues.

With my foam thing installed, it rubs the top of my CAI. When I take it out though there isn't a problem. Thats with a VIS Carbon Fiber EVO style hood.

travis, its all inyour head. sure it changes the sound of the intake and it might make a cool little whistle but it didnt add any power cheif. In the "old days" throttle body spacers made of plastic, phenolic or other heat insulating materials were useful to keep heat off the carburetor body and keep too much gas from vaporizing in the fuel bowls. Nowadays, throttle body spacers do one thing and one thing only...they increase the volume of air in the intake runners behind the throttle body. That volume of air become simportant when you snap open the throttle, as the engine suddenly needs a quick burst of air and fuel until the column of air in the intake tubing gets moving. Spacers can make engines more responsive off-idle, but they don't actually make any power. All they do is make more of the engine's total power available in a specific situation (that split second between the throttle opening and the air column in the intake getting moving). Do research on something called "under the curve horsepower shift" and you'll see what I mean.

The only way a throttle body spacer will actually ADD power is if it has a working nitrous oxide jet in it.

Well it deffinately increases something. All I have to say is, I have one and I can tell a deffinent difference in response and power, so people reading this can believe someone who has one and has "factualy noticed" the difference, or someone who doesnt have one and "factually read" about it.

So... are there any spacers available for the 'balt?

A dyno provides fact. I bet you also think the seat of your pants can feel the 4 HP given by a new intake, right?

A lot of people say that the spacer does nothing, but I honestly noticed a much quicker throttle response, louder intake, and more power. I gained 51.8 crank with my CAI, Spacer, Ceramic Header, and Exhaust. I find it hard to believe that some of that extra power did not come from the spacer. If it didn't, that is like a 17hp gain for each of the other 3 mods. I don't think that happened. Also, Why would they sell it and not get sued for false advertising if it did nothing. Anyone driving any car before and after adding an extra part can tell the difference, be it more or less power. I'd contact air aid or summit racing. Summit's probably cheaper.
