They come in 5-speed as well as auto... I just think the dealers have ordered all automatics... I've never even seen a 5-speed SS 2.4...

initially that was the rumor in 05 before the 06's came out. But the HHR was announced with the 2.4L and 5 speed---so I never beleived the Cobalt 2.4 would be auto only.

I have never seen a 2.4 manual in person. They obviously exist but I have yet to see the mythical 5 speed 2.4. hahaha

Me... 6 ... or ... 7? I've had mine since September. My dealer had a hard time finding a 2.4 at all back then.

dealer told me about 5% of all cobalts made ina years period are actually manual...making the car with a stick rare

What's just as rare is finding a 2.4 with leather! I've yet to see one at any dealer around here.

I have manual! When I got mine Sept 6, my dealer had to search hard to find one. It was the only one around.

I got the 2.4 SS 5-spd. Got mine in december, didn't want leather though. Not a fan of how it sticks to me. Mine was the only one in like a 400 mile radius from where I bought it.

My dealer had to trade for my 2.4 manual from a dealer out of state. I wanted to test drive a 2.4 manual to make sure I liked it before I had them bring mine in from out of state. I could only find one 2.4 manual in the greater Atlanta area ( I went to 4 different dealers). Almost every one I have seen on a lot has been auto.
