it ups the line pressure sorta like a shift kit w/o the drilling and taking apart the tranny unpleasentrys.

I agree, you'll be able to get better results with a customer tune, rather then raising the line pressure across the board.

If you don't plan on spending that kind of money untill later when you get a lot more mods I'd say go for it. I have one and an CAI on my car right now and I wouldn't spend the money for a custom tune untill I really need it. Plus it only cost like $40. The shifting is a lot more firm and you can feel it. I drive around in stage 1 all the time.

For 40 dollars its not a bad investment, I keep up with manual 2.4's and pass them, then agian I have a few things done. I recommond it, and buy it from TTR great shipping time, excellent service, and lowest price, not to metion you get points for items bought!

This does not hurt the transmission either, I ran it for 8k miles, and still have no problems, and in fact the GM dealer asked me how my car acted like a manual when its a auto, and when I had the tranny looked at they said it was in the best shape for a "sports car that dumps rice". Best qoute ever.

I say buy it man, and they get gmpp exhaust and header plus injen intake, nest pairing for 2.4s I have seen. Its what I run.

All good advice in here. The B&M unit isn't bad. But since you have the ability to get an HPTuners job done, you should do that instead.

i kinda have an alternate view on this.

I tuned a fellow with a 2.4 just a few days ago, and he had the B&M, and we discussed this.

in the end we decided that I would tune the car, but let the B&M handle his tranny.

why?
because once you tune with HPtuners, thats the tune, 24/7
but with the tune + B&M, he can daily drive on stock tranny settings,
and dial it up on demand.

just a thought

A tune is good yes, but this is still worth it, I have told many guys to buy it out here in Utah, and many are HP tuned. Its still worth it very much imho.

An0malous gimme your hood.

Thats cool for you, guys I know who are legit, charge 100 since they help people out, 250? I would rather pay the 50-80 more for a dyno.

"guys who are legit" u are sayin he isnt legit...mike and i are the first two pioneers to tune the 2.4..its 100 dollars just to get the credits to be available to tune..then we have spent several hours and hours on getting a realy solid tune(ask around if u please)250 mite be a lil high, but its worth it...doing tuning, street tunes, whats better than getting a street tune..much better imo than a dyno...more um real life.
