2.4liter "break In"?!?!?!?!?!?!

hey guys i think something is really wrong with my car or it still needs to be broken in but that seems unrealistic because my car has 5,200 miles on it ..... it was the demo car from the dealer i bought it from. From day one it was a quick son of a bitch beating even my buddies stock for stock 2.4lss. So i figure tight this is about as fast as its going to get until i put some money into it anywah about a week later iam driving the car for about 3 hours and i notice my coolant temp. read 205F* so anyway I mash the throttle and the ******* thing flys like its got a turbo on it ...... iam all excited and **** and make a stop at the bank... come back turn on the car again coolant temp reads 185F* and its back to its old self again ....and the coolant temp stays constant takes hours to get it up any higher
anyone have any idea were this insane acceleration boost may be coming from .... or why and is it bad OoOoOo and last but not least how can i make it stay like that LMAO

the 2.4L has a nice pull to it. i have 4K on my car now and it hauls on me when i nail the gas. i have seen mine got to over 200 also for the coolant temp and then go back down.

I was just grasping at straws. The guy is complaining that his car is too fast, which is probably a first for this forum.

Iam not complaining its to fast bro, did you read my entire original post ??
ive been working with cars for a long time now and its not normal for a car to do what i explained my current vehicle does. Which leads to the whole reason i made this thread .....to see if anyone has any idea what is going on with my ride.

like i said in my post even without this lil unknown boost **** my car does every once in a while my 2.4l ss stock for stock can beat my friends 2.4l ss so its not even like a "I dont know the feeling of 171hp"

anyway Iam just asking purely and simply if anyone knows whats going on ..... iam not trying to offend anyone and iam not trying to boast, just trying to save money because next step from here is straight into a shop.

If it's an auto, it's probably the traction control switching off by itself.

Mine does that all the time.

if it's an auto, it's because you're catching it in it's powerband... if i floor it at 60, it takes off and accelarates quickly... if i floor it from 80, it goes much slower untill it hits it's powerband

i have a manual. the temps do get up to 205ish when STANDING STILL. As soon as you start moving, th etemp goes back down to 190ish. It's been like this since day one, and there is nothing wrong with it. Every car does this. I bet your old car did it too, it just didn;t have a digital thermometer for the coolant for you to look at, and you never cared about the needle moving 1mm because that was nothing.

My coolant varies from 185 to almost 220 when driving but it now has nothing to do with an increase of horsepower. The Cobalt just likes to be driven and when it has been for about 30 mins or longer it just comes out of its shell and felt like it gained 10hp. Take this morning for example, I drove to the mall to drop stuff off at Goodwill and on the way back it was a little quicker. The way I usually notice this is when I'm shifting and if it chirps or not when I hit 2nd. I usually shift at 4-5k.
